Dan Edwards

Dan began playing electric guitar in his early teens, inspired by the Britpop sound of the early nineties. Over the next few years, his musical tastes branched out and he developed a love of acoustic American music. In 2005, he moved to Oklahoma where he was exposed to all kinds of American guitar music, and began playing folk, country, fingerstyle blues, and flatpicked bluegrass guitar in various bands. He began teaching while living in the United States.

On returning to England in 2009, Dan immediately formed/joined several bands sharing his musical interests, playing both acoustic guitar, electric guitar and banjo. As well as performing live frequently, he has been involved in a variety of studio projects as a session player. His flexible approach to guitar comes across in his teaching, and with his broad range of skills, he ensures that all of his students have a thorough understanding of the music they want to learn.
