WHAT’S INVOLVED IN THE LESSON
Here we have a classic blues track for all you blues/rock enthusiasts out there! This song is originally Albert Kings, but here we are looking at the Cream version of the track. We are using the pentatonic shape 1 to create one of the greatest guitar riffs of all time! In this lesson I will take you through the main verse and chorus riff, designed to be accessible to beginners as well as more intermediate players. This is a great challenge for any player as the key to any good riff is not just playing the notes correctly, it’s playing the rhythm correctly!
The song itself is more of an intermediate tune, but the way I have shown you in this video is designed for beginner guitar players who want to stretch there pentatonic legs! So, get your shape 1 at the ready, put yourself in the key of G minor (if you can?!) and ket’s get cracking!
